Oliver Dollar is a house music connoisseur; a purveyor of deep, soulful, jacking, underground music; and a selector of immaculate taste.

The past decade has seen his star steadily rise to be a recognizable staple within house music. But it was 2011 when this Berlin based producer gained the attention he deserved in the form of his first breakthrough record“Doin’ Ya Thang” on Play It Down. This bonafide classic remained at #1o Beatport for an incredible 5 weeks and continued to sit in the top ten for months, selling over 60k downloads to date. It has been streamed over 10 million times on all platforms and to this day is being played in clubs around the world.

Proving this was no fluke, in 2014 he released his biggest smash yet as he united with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules for their much-hyped ‘Pushing On’ released on the mighty Defected. Not only did it give Dollar #1 status on Beatport again, it was also a huge cross-over hit featuring in the UK national charts (peaking at #15). This record has been streamed over 70 million times on all platforms, cementing Oliver in the house music big leagues, and has earned him a silver disc for its 200,000 sales!

Fast forward to 2019 and he released his much-anticipated debut album on the legendary Classic Music Company which delivered a selection of killer cuts, featuring some formidable collaborating artists, and world class remixes that followed from the likes of Cassius, Mousse T, Riva Starr, Todd Edwards, Paul Johnson & Scan 7. Oliver toured to promote the album extensively following its release, taking in a 22 date summer tour of the USA, then touching down in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, and much of Europe. A touring pattern he continues to rotate.

During all this time Oliver has continued to deliver his signature disco & soul influenced house sound, releasing on some of the world’s best labels including Cajual, Relief, Dopewax, Snatch!, Yoruba, & Robsoul among others; whilst also picking up remixes of such titans as Green Velvet, Riva Starr, Romathony, Boris Dlugosch & DJ Sneak along the way.

Of course it was only a matter of time before Oliver launched his own label ‘Industry Standard’. Oliver comments “I always wanted to do a label…The vision is to have crazy quality control, I don’t want to put out a release every month.”The label is continuing to grow with a core group of artists releasing music and developing the IS Music sound.

2023 sees more releases planned on his own Industry Standard, and other world class house labels including Rekids. Industry Standard have started doing label parties, with Spot Lite, Detroit hosting events, and more in the pipeline. With more touring in the diary to spread his house gospel, you know Oliver will continue to keep pushing on another day for another dollar!
